Pīna'ina'i, echo of the spirit and bodies

Documentary. 52 min. "Pīna'ina'i " celebrates its 10 years, going from hundred spectators for the first edition in 2011 to thousand in the year 2024. It takes its inspiration from autochton literature, dance and music; "Pīna'ina'i " is recognized more and more each year as the must-see cultural event in Tahiti. These three art forms sublime each other to nourish thought reflection. Consideration about ourselves (identity), reflection about our history (duty of remembrance), thinking about the ills of today polynesian society (ongoing issue).
This feature documentary, mixing dances, musicality and poetry, recounts the premises that gave birth to native literature in French polynesia. 2024 "Pīna'ina'i " is a tribute to the poete Henry HIRO and his work.
"Pīna'ina'i ", echoing the spirit and bodies, pays homage to polynesian literature, its writers, artists, choreographer, theater director, dancers, and speakers who tend to awaken consciousness.
