Hine Taia

Documentary. 51 min. Fenua Aihere is located on the northernmost side of Tahiti island. In this wildland with very little habitation, there is a village which has its own rhythm : Tautira. Showcased as an eden garden by Robert Louis STEVENSON in 1888, Tautira has not aged with time. This fishermen's village is the limit between humans and wildness. Its reputation for authenticity far away from the stress of Papeete is also bestowed on its people known to be hard workers.

This documentary takes off to meet Tetuaura and her family. She is one the few women that do deep-sea fishing.
